StudyZone Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to StudyZone. By downloading, installing, registering for, or using the StudyZone application or any related service (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

StudyZone is operated by StudyZone ("we", "us", or "our"), a company based in Cairo, Egypt.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital age of consent in your country) to use the Services. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. We reserve the right to terminate accounts where we discover the user does not meet the minimum age.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to access most features. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
• Keep your credentials confidential and not share them.
• Notify us immediately at mostafa@studyzone.app of any unauthorized access to your account.
• Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, impersonate another person, or use a name that is offensive or misleading.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you post (messages, attachments, etc.). By posting, you grant StudyZone a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, store, display, and distribute that content solely to operate and improve the Services.

You are solely responsible for your content. StudyZone does not endorse user content and is not liable for it.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or discriminatory.
• Post, upload, or distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — we report all such material to the relevant authorities and to NCMEC.
• Spam, phish, or distribute malware.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Services.
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Services without our written permission.
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of StudyZone or third parties.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, our servers, or infrastructure.
• Facilitate or promote any of the above.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination and may be reported to law enforcement.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

6.1 Subscription Plans

StudyZone offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid plans unlock premium features such as ad-free experience, unlimited content access, and priority support.

6.2 Billing

All in-app purchases and subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing. By subscribing you also agree to Google Play's Terms of Service. StudyZone does not store your payment card details.

6.3 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Google Play account settings.

6.4 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Google Play in accordance with their refund policy. We may at our discretion offer credits or extensions in exceptional circumstances — contact us at mostafa@studyzone.app.

6.5 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes take effect at your next renewal.

7. Intellectual Property

All content provided by StudyZone — including but not limited to educational videos, books, quizzes, study materials, AI-generated content, graphics, software, and trademarks — is owned by StudyZone or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from StudyZone content without prior written permission.

8. Third-Party Services

The Services integrate third-party services including Google Sign-In, YouTube, Google AdMob, Firebase, and payment processors. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. StudyZone is not responsible for third-party services.

9. AI Features

Some features use AI models to generate study plans, quiz questions, explanations, and other educational content. AI-generated content:

• May contain errors or inaccuracies — always verify with authoritative sources.
• Is not a substitute for a qualified teacher, tutor, or professional adviser.
• Should not be submitted as original academic work in violation of your institution's academic integrity policies.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF CONTENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STUDYZONE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN JURISDICTIONS THAT DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless StudyZone and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claim, liability, damage, judgment, award, loss, cost, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination & Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Support → Delete Account) or at studyzone.app/delete-account. Deletion is soft for 90 days — you can restore your account by signing in during that window. After 90 days the data is permanently deleted.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in conduct harmful to other users or to StudyZone, or if required by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you unless prohibited.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cairo, Egypt. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that grants mandatory consumer-law protections, those protections are not affected by this clause.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Effective Date" above and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
